Made a couple cards today. Kept is simple, using papertrey ink sentiment, sizzix die, images by Janet (etsy), DCWV paper, and some embossing (inkadinkado stamp). a small candy cane and bow to finish.
I did my housekeeping this morning, and after decided to watch “A Christmas Carol”, the one with Jim Carey. It was cute, and while watching it I decided to make some cards.
I was busy this Thanksgiving weekend. Preparing for an open house I am hosting Dec 10th. Making some items for gifts, and some to trade or sell. Bought some of those bottle brush trees, dyed some in pastel colors. Although they look a bit darker in the photos. Added some snow and will add some ice. Waiting on mercury glass beads to deck a couple out.
Made the star ornaments using some glittered stars from Michaels and a Die I purchased from Papertrey Ink. Pretty rosettes and an image surrounded by tinsel for a vintage feel.
All finished and ready to go.
Using my Accucut die, Tim Holtz’ Strip Die “trims” that I sugared with Diamond Dust, K& Co Embellishments, DCWV paper, Some Chenille Candy Canes, and Martha Stewart Tinseled Yarn these will hold my soldered charms. They will hanging as decorations on the tree until it is time for them to be “gifted”. I have a few other ideas for them, a Santa’s hat perhaps, or Easter Carrots?
I need to add the tinsel I have to stuff inside and the Soldered Charm “gift”. I am so pleased with how they came out!
Here are some of my Christmas Charms I have made for a few local stores in the area. I recently purchased the Accucut Icicle/Cone box. I thought they would be nice boxes for the charms. Imagine finding these on the tree Christmas morning. I have to finish decorating them with the snow and candy canes I made. Now to get out my tree……
